Position Summary:

This office processes field tickets relating to services performed, all accounts payable and employee expense reports as well as backing up payroll and human resources for all employees of this district. Documentation is currently being processed and entered into the system at the District Office and then forwarded to the SDI Corporate Office in Houston for payment and customer invoicing.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of the monthly volume report, insuring that work orders processed for the month, third party reimbursable expenses, as well as accruals for both revenue and expense are correct and complete.
  •  Verification of completion, accuracy and compliance on Work Orders, including all required backup documentation required for customer billings. Work Orders are to be checked for correct pricing and for customer and corporate required information.
  • Ensure third party rebills are correct and in compliance with customer agreements and required copies are attached. 
  • Work with field department coordinators and District Manager to track job completion for purposes of determining revenue and rebills on jobs in progress at month end. 
  • Participate in district processing of Accounts Payable, insuring proper PO approval and GL coding.
  • Verify and process charges turned in on employee expense reports, including job day verification where necessary. Also verify compliance with corporate guidelines for all expenses as well as correct coding.
  • Review/prepare paperwork and tracking of borrowed/loaned employees. Participate as a back-up in district preparation and transmittal of employee timesheets, PCN's, and other required documents to corporate for payroll processing. Insure adequate controls to maintain appropriate confidentiality of payroll information. Maintain proper distribution of payroll checks. 
  • Assist District Manager with analysis of monthly financial statements, reviewing for proper coding, accuracy, variance analysis, etc.
  • Assist District Manager with preparation and transmittal of district budget and updates. 
  • Perform other relevant duties as requested by management.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervise the processes that support accounting functions (processing of the work orders, payable vouchers, employee expenses and timecards). This position currently has no direct reports; however, this could change in the future.  Local staff who assist with accounting functions report directly to the District Manager.

 

Education and/or Certifications

  • Accounting or Business degree, or closely related degree
  • 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
