Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • A Global Account Manager (GAM) ensures the satisfaction of global operating clients. Determined by the company's Customer Prioritization Index (CPI), specific clients will be identified as necessary in having GAM focus;
  • The GAM is owns the "customer experience" for the identified strategic clients and serves upper management as the global point of contact for all needs relative to SDI's products and services;
  • The GAM is a conduit of information between the strategic client and SDI, effectively communicating across all SDI business departments ensuring clear understanding of the client's plans, strategies and activities;
  • The GAM is focused on critical success factors for driving revenue, growth and profitability with identified strategic clients across all SDI's product lines;
  • The GAM will identify, develop, and execute on opportunities for organic growth within the global operating regions relative to the strategic account's activity;
  • The GAM is focused on fostering executive to upper-level relationships with the strategic client for purposes of business expansion, issue resolution, knowledge sharing, and strategic initiatives;
  • The GAM utilizes business communication tools to help share information and valuable intel around the client's business (internally and externally);
  • The GAM promotes a collaborative sales approach by working closely with existing sales professionals towards the execution of local business;
  • The GAM works diligently to assist in investigation and close out of Non-Conformance Reports and outstanding receivables (when necessary);
  • Along with ensuring client satisfaction, the GAM often will assist selling situations where upper management influence and sales coaching is required;
  • The GAM is accountable for weekly communications with the SDI operating districts, monthly dial-in meetings with account managers, and updated Opportunity Landscapes on the respective strategic clients.

Education, Experience, Certification and Training

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Four year college degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years minimum energy or energy services experience required.
  • 5-7 years minimum business or sales experience required.
