Scientific Drilling is looking for a Finished Goods Inventory Specialist to work at our Applied Technologies Center in Paso Robles, CA.  Scientific Drilling is an independent directional drilling and wellbore navigation, surveying and logging Service Company serving customers worldwide.  Our industry leading navigation systems provide definitive wellbore placement information, enabling safer and more efficient placement of tightly spaced wellbores throughout the world.  We are motivated by crafting innovative and elegant solutions to technically challenging problems. 

Nestled between San Francisco and Los Angeles, the California Central Coast is the location described as the happiest place on earth.  Home to where others vacation, including 200+ wineries, fresh air, miles of beautiful beaches, and small town appeal. Our Finished Goods Inventory Specialist position will be working in our Manufacturing department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and confirm accuracy of new parts/tools and SDI owned parts/tools (repairs) into field cage inventory and timely complete necessary transactions in SAP.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy in SAP and physical separation of ATA and SDI owned tools in field cage.
  • Pulls parts and tools from inventory to shipping department with correct shipping instructions based on Equipment Requisition Order (ERO) from field.
  • Transacts all parts and tool movements in SAP.
  • Completes or assists in regular cycle count program.
  • Completes or assists in yearly physical inventory count.
  • Maintains general housekeeping of field cage area.
  • Ensures compliance of Company HSE policies.
  • Creates and maintains physical bin locations and confirms accuracy in SAP.
  • Performs other duties as requested by Supervisor.
  • Manages work station and practices good housekeeping techniques.
  • May be required to work overtime.
  • Pursues every job with drive and determination.
  • Uses logic to solve problems with effective solutions.
  • Performs other relevant duties as required.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Computer skills proficiency in basic Microsoft Office products.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to present oneself with professional appearance and behavior in accordance with ATC dress code and SDI Code of Conduct.
  •  Ability to meet all SDI/ATC safety requirements.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to read, communicate, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers and peers, both written and verbally.
  • Adhere to established company procedures and policies, work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed.
  • Possess the ability to be interactive with management staff and co-workers.

Education, Experience, Certification, and Training:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience using inventory control computer systems (SAP preferred).
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be motivated and have attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work quickly and accurately.
