Job Summary

Support and supervise Auto-mated Directional Drilling Service jobs. This includes sales support as well as pre-job setup, modeling and post-job analysis. Ongoing communication and training of rigsite and office based personnel to ensure the delivery of value added service.

Key Job Functions

  • Oversee all ADDS operations
  • Work with operations to determine the optimum plan for each well.
  • Build Relationships with Directional Coordinators and work closely concerning ongoing and upcoming operations.
  • Assist Field Personnel with BHA/Well Plan uploads.
  • Review all System Notifications
  • Input Geosteering Target changes
  • Monitor Rig EDR to Maintain and Understand Operational Efficiencies
  • Coordinate setting up, maintaining and monitoring jobs in the systems
    • Running or Continuous Inclination
    • Gamma/MSE/Rop Trends
    • Slide Quality
    • Enter Geology Data Including Formation Tops, Waypoints and Offset Data
    • Enter Well Plan
    • Existing Surveys
    • Offset Well Data
    • Well Boundaries 
    • Create user profiles
    • QC well plans
    • Review AC Data
    • Loading customer specific configuration parameters
    • Coordinate equipment logistics
    • Verify data communication and WITS mapping
    • Verify replication and VPN status
    • Creating post-well reports and summaries
    • Ensure appropriate charges are accurately invoiced on a timely basis
    • Perform other job duties as assigned.
    • Adhere to safety standards with Company HSE policies.
    • Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the needs of the business.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 Years Directional Drilling and MWD experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • College Degree

Physical Job Requirements


  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, stoop, reach above the shoulder, grasp, pull, bend repeatedly, climb stairs, identify colors, hear with aid, see, write, count, read, speak, analyze, alphabetize, lift and carry under 25 lbs., perceive depth and operate a motor vehicle.
  • Conditions may include working inside and/or outside. May work around machines with moving parts and moving objects. Working near radiant and electrical energy.       Working closely with others or working alone. Working extended or irregular hours and travelling by all possible modes of transportation.

Equipment (machines, tools, devices) used in performing the essential job function include but not limited to computers and related equipment, calculators, copiers, fax machines, telephone and vehicles. Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to, safety glasses, hardhat, reinforced toed shoes, coveralls, gloves, and ear plugs or muffs.
