Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and achieve an effective business unit covering operational management and development of the District so as to meet organizational performance plans and expectations within agreed budgets and timescales.
  • The Dallas city sales representative ensures the satisfaction of local assigned operating customers. Determined by the Sales Director and respective Operations Manager, specific customers and/or areas of focus will be identified and assigned;
  • The SALES/BDM is responsible for revenue production that far exceeds their personal cost of operation (minimum of 6X personal cost);
  • The SALES/BDM is owns the "customer experience" for each customer they see, providing a point of contact between the customer and SDI operations;
  • The SALES/BDM is the point of contact for SDI customers specific to SDI's products and service needs;
  • Identify, cultivate and deliver opportunities for both geographic business expansion and acquisition that align with SDI enterprise strategy.
  • The SALES/BDM will identify, develop, and execute on customer opportunities for organic growth within the area they operate;
  • The SALES/BDM communicates with the customers on a weekly/daily basis (both electronically and in person) to ensure existing satisfaction and progress in closing sales opportunities;
  • The SALES/BDM utilizes business communication tools to help share information and valuable intel around the client's business (Sales Pipeline online system, Sales Lab forum, Call Reports, sales dial-ins);
  • Take personal responsibility for Quality Assurance & HSE matters within the area of work;
  • The SALES/BDM is proactive in bringing in technical support, when necessary, to close sales opportunities;
  • The SALES/BDM works diligently to assist in investigation and close out of Non-Conformance Reports and outstanding receivables (when necessary);
  • The SALES/BDM is accountable for weekly communications with the SDI operating districts and monthly dial-in meetings with global sales & marketing

  • Highly motivated sales professional that has commercial savvy and interpersonal relationship skills;
  • Learns quickly and adapts to new problems and situations;
  • Is proficient in building proposals and presentations that are professional and effective in customer selling situations;
  • Has good communication skills internally;
  • Is urgent and aggressive in their selling approach...communicates with customers daily;
  • Uses logic to solve problems with effective solutions;
  • Has competencies in effective writing, and listening;
  • Is professional in both appearance and manner;
  • Effective in multi-tasking and is driving for results;

Education, Experience, Certification and Training

  • Grade School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Four year college/university degree (preferred)
  • 3-7 years minimum energy or energy services experience.
  • 2-4 years minimum business or sales experience.
  • Completion of SDI required HSE and skill level training or equivalent.
