Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for supporting and managing various aspects of our customer proposal process, creation and management of proposal materials, and providing general business development support for special projects and customer presentations.


Key accountability areas

       Coordinates the work effort of a cross-functional proposal team in creating deliverables required for commercial contract bids. Ensures that appropriate resources, such as operational subject matter experts, are available to and provides appropriate level of detail for the Proposal Manager to complete the RFP.

       Coordinates team members, and provides leadership and oversight to ensure on-time, quality submittals, including serving as point of contact for all team members, both internal and external.

       Analyzes solicitation requirements and prepares proposal plans including outlines, tasks, schedules and responsibilities. Evaluates RFPs using IMC analysis method.

       In conjunction with senior management, Sales and Account Management, develops win strategies for proposals under areas of responsibility, including defining bid parameters and bid positioning and bid scoring

       Manages writing and production, synthesizing text and ideas from multiple authors and writing original text as well as manages database response software.

       Validates each proposal's compliance with RFP requirements

Supports requirements for business development special projects, presentations, and events.

Education, Experience, Certification and Training

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Two years related experience in creating professional proposals, business documents, or marketing materials
  • Background in Oil and Gas industry helpful
  • Experience working in RFI / RFQ environment

  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, stoop, reach above the shoulder, grasp, pull, bend repeatedly, climb stairs, identify colors, hear with aid, see, write, count, read, speak, analyze, alphabetize, lift and carry under 25 lbs., perceive depth and operate a motor vehicle.
  • Conditions may include working inside and/or outside. May work around machines with moving parts and moving objects. Working near radiant and electrical energy. Working closely with others or working alone. Working extended and/or irregular hours and travelling by all possible modes of transportation.
  • Equipment (machines, tools, devices) used in performing the essential job function include but not limited to computers and related equipment, calculators, copiers, fax machines, telephone and vehicles. Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to, safety glasses, hardhat, reinforced toed shoes, coveralls, gloves, and ear plugs or muffs.
